The Gaming Industry, Blackouts & WWIII - Is This The End As We Know It?

The gaming industry has been involved in bad business for a while now. They have attacked the consumer, demonized the male gaze, and have become so greedy in every possible way that paying players are having buyer's remorse more often than not. On top of all that AAA gaming continues to push the agenda, and is still hellbent on selling propaganda more than an actual worthwhile experience for all gamers. Compound this all with the current state of the world, and the looming nuclear holocaust, and we've got a situation that could easily put the final nail in the coffin of the industry.

EPIC Games' Epic Blunder ... Fortnite Is DEAD!!!

There's a lot of sh*t going on in this world in the month of March, in the year 2026. We're in WW3, there's the looming threat of terrorism on US soil, and EPIC Games, of all studios, decided to commit corporate suicide just as a new highly anticipated season of Fortnite was being hyped. They thought it was a good idea to nerf V-bucks battlepass earnings as well as increase the price of V-bucks bundles while simultaneously reducing the amount of V-bucks you actually pay for. Not only this, but there was no mention of reducing item shop skin, sidekicks, and pets bundles. This is an absolute slap in the face as it is not only based on fake financial claims that have been fact checked on X in the most brutal way, but it has been called out by sponsored personalities as well. It all points to one thing, and it ain't inflation. Greed is the drive behind these changes, and no matter how you cut it, it is the most unfriendly consumer monetization change ever to hit Fortnite.

Highguard - A Prime Example of Extreme Expectations In A Greed Driven Industry

As fate would have it I was up at 3am. I awoke to the smell of an early burning breakfast that my father was making. It's his routine as of late. After deciding to stay up, and not go back to bed I headed straight on over to X (formerly Twitter) to raise a ruckus, to poke the bear, and see what kind of trouble I could get into. The topics of discussion did not disappoint. Had everything from Pam Bondi getting roasted over the Epstein debacle to talks about layoffs in the gaming industry, and whether or not gamers should criticize bad games.
