Most of you have seen my religious tweets over on X. I am a Christian, and was both saved and Baptized in my youth. That path I walked so narrowly back then has become wider, and more winding over the years, admittedly. I used to go to church and worship, but do so no longer. I used to listen to gospel music, and now that rarely ever happens. Even so I still pray to God, and believe in him. My faith remains, and in that faith exists a constant tug-of-war battle between good and evil. Like many Christians today I am still a sinner, though repentant. I am constantly asking God for forgiveness, and that is the only thing that gives me hope. The only thing that let's me know I'm not lost yet. I still see sin as sin, and am not comfortable in committing it, yet.

How To Lose Money As A Game Dev
Today I saw a headline that is not at all surprising, especially with the current agendas taking over the gaming industry. The headline basically stated that Capcom lost a significant portion of sales in 2024. I believe it was 50%. Capcom, like so many other Triple A developers has entered the propaganda phase of production, and in full force. Censoring their own games to appease a minority in an effort to push their message.
Instead of allowing and creating games that serve their established fanbase, or even both fanbases (individually) they double down on the alienating DEI fight against their original fanbase. Ripping from their products images and art that they feel appeals to the male gaze. If it is sexual in the slightest towards a hetero male perspective they alter and censor the game to fit current day LGBTQ+ standards. All in a hypocritical fashion.

Greed VS Gamers | Infinite Desire For The Finite
One of the biggest problems facing the gaming industry today is greed. Greed, as it were, comes in many forms. From overpricing to multi-layered monetization efforts, and microtransactions gamers' money is taken without a second thought. This alongside live service game oversaturation only serves to thin out the earnings of those who aim to exploit the paying player.
It is an unsustainable business model that will not only bleed dry the well of potential income for developers and publishers, but will also kill off gaming as we know it. The more gamers are abused through heavy handed greed the less gamers are going to be able to pick up the tab, and make game development a viable option for making money.

Addressing DEI In Gaming | Brad's Thoughts
DEI as we know it stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The diversity part isn't truly diverse though as often times it excludes straight white males. Same for inclusion which is also not truly inclusive to the same degree.
Equity, being the last part of it, is nothing more than a means for people to get something they didn't earn. It's why we get skin deep characters representing sexual preferences, and skin color. It's why games with DEI are doomed to fail, and why gamers do not buy into those games. Concord being a prime example of this fact.

A Game Reviewer From Scratch!?
Most of you who know me or know of me realize that I'm more than just your average gamer. You've likely read my reviews, or saw them posted somewhere on the internet. Be it social media or some streaming site like Youtube.
Though I've been at it for over 13 years my review career still pales in comparison to my overall time as a gamer. Something I feel should be the case for any tried and true gaming journalist. It's that long term experience with the hobby that led me to seek out my first developers, and publishers after establishing a free blog via Blogger sometime in 2011.

To Sell Or Not To Sell? A Story Of A Gamer's Regrets
We've all been there. Wanting for that new console or new game. Thinking seriously about selling some of our collection to stores like Gamestop just to get something new. I can't tell you offhand how many games or consoles I've sold over the years just to gain access to the latest releases, but I promise you it's more than I care to admit out of shame.
Every time I've done it I have always regretted it in hindsight. To be to the point, and completely honest, I don't think there's one single plausible reason as to why you should part ways with any of your collections. Time has shown gaming products hold value, and that that value often times increases when the next line of consoles and games come and go.

Overpriced Games? Are Modern Games Really Overpriced?
As a gamer who has started his collecting from the first home consoles to the most recent I can tell you now that prices were always high for the time they were released. It's why you saw kids begging their parents for games and game hardware when you were a kid. Gaming, itself, is not a cheap hobby by any means. It is not a poor man's hobby for certain. Even if you manage to find sales or thrift store items more often than not you'll either have to pay the day one premium or wait on a discount later on if you don't want to miss out, and even discounts can be pricey for hobby standards.

Journal Of The Gamer | Meet Brad The Gamer!!!
As the title suggests my name is Brad. I'm a Gen X gamer with a deep history in gaming. I grew up during the Atari and NES age of gaming when arcades were still a thing. My first console was an Atari 2600, and my first game 'Yar's Revenge'. That, however, is not what sparked my interests in pursuing all things gaming ...
